Aubrey Jacoby is an aspiring musician from right here in Philadelphia. She has always been passionate about music but has recently taken the next step in pursuing her music career. Before writing her own music and performing at venues, she would make covers of popular songs and post them to social media. Even back then, her talent was apparent. She has pushed forward to the next level of her musical career with her latest release.
Titled And Aubrey Was Her Name, her newest EP has amassed many listens. The EP consists of 5 songs, each one a display of Jacoby’s hard work, talent, and dedication. Including songs such as Merlot and Voodoo Doll, her EP is just the beginning of where her music career is bound to go.

Even more impressive is that Jacoby wrote all of the lyrics as well as all of the instrumentals for each song of the EP on her own. Hours upon hours of work have been put into her music, furthering the idea of how committed she is to her music. Not only did she write the instrumentals, she also played the instruments herself. Every piece of her music has been conducted solely by her. Not many artists are able to say that and Jacoby says it proudly.
If you are looking for somewhere to start listening to Aubrey Jacoby, I highly recommend listening to the entirety of the EP. Each song tells a story and Jacoby does a great job of getting this point across. It is impossible for me to pick a favorite, they are each very well done. Jacoby’s EP is available to be streamed on almost all music platforms including, but not limited to Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music.

Jacoby also sometimes gives live performances which she will often post on her Instagram prior to the event. In case you were wondering, she is just as talented in person and she is in the studio! Her talent has been recognized by some awesome venues as well. In May, she performed at Parx Casino which has also hosted artists such as Blondie and will be hosting Lee Brice in 2024. Jacoby describes this opportunity as amazing and even mentions how she had her very own dressing room for the event which she was not expecting in the slightest.
Jacoby plans on making her music her career. When I asked her about the future of her music career, she was more than happy to give me some insight. She explained to me that she plans to go to school in the spring for sound recording and music technology. She says that with that, she will be able to learn to not only record but also publish all of her music herself. She seemed very excited about this and I can confidently say that those who are fans of her music are just as excited! I think it is safe to say that we will be hearing a lot more from Aubrey Jacoby as her music career takes off.
