The 2023-2024 school year has come to an end, HFU, and with that we see the graduation of our Senior and Executive Editor of Tri-Lite, Mya Howard and Susie DiPietro.
I have been a writer for Tri-Lite for two years, and it has been the greatest experience I have had at Holy Family University. Attending university can be incredibly isolating, at times; especially being involved in a small major. In my four years at HFU, I’ve looked all over for a sense of unity and belonging; a place to touch my dreams of being a writer, and not feel ashamed or not good enough. Tri-Lite gave me a voice, a sense of purpose, and a passion for journalism that I never knew existed. I have made some wonderful friends, and colleagues while working as a writer, and even more in my experience as an Executive Editor leading to the Senior Editor. I know that I will cherish my time with Tri-Lite for the rest of my life, and I hope you’ve enjoyed the content I’ve produced over the past two years. Read on, HFU! – Susie DiPietro
The 2024 spring semester has given me many opportunities, including my internship with Tri-Lite. Although I was only able to intern for one semester, there are still many things that I have learned when it comes to editing, posting articles online and marketing, all thanks to Tri-Lite. Although I rarely wrote and published my own articles, I truly enjoyed working on other student’s articles and reading through them, editing and then posting them onto Tri-Lite. When I graduate from HFU, I hope that I will be able to take what I have learned with Tri-Lite and apply it to jobs in the future. I also encourage students to continue to write what you are passionate about! Don’t be afraid to share your voice and write! – Mya Howard
