Holy Family University is introducing Professional Week Monday to Thursday, March 17 to March 20th, 2025. This week can become an opportunity for Holy Family students to broaden their career possibilities, receive valuable insight and guidance, create professional documents, and increase personal confidence in their future career. Director of Internships and career services, Brett Fucci, says, “You never know what opportunities are going to be present.” There is one event/activity per day ranging from two to three hours long, and there is no fee to attend. These activities, workshops, and presentations are open to all students and help in the University’s Northeast Philadelphia campus (9801 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19114). To register for these events, scan the QR code on the flyers around campus or fill out the email sent to all students.
Monday, March 17th is an opportunity for students to participate in a resume and cover letter workshop. The workshop begins at 12:50 p.m. and ends at 1:50 p.m. The location of the event is in the Campus Center, room 115. This is where students can begin their professional journey. Any student who has struggled writing their resume or wants to begin the development will find this workshop beneficial. Learn how to showcase your experiences and skills in a way that attracts future employers. When it comes to formatting, information that needs to be included, highlighting your strengths, and wording, this workshop will help guide a college student down the right path. Get noticed and feel confident through your resume.
On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, 1:00-3:00 p.m., students of Holy Family University can come together and have conversations with Holy Family Alumni. These are called Career Circles. Build bonds with industry-specific representatives and receive extra insight about your future career by talking to Alumni. Nursing student, Layla Gibson, says, “That will benefit me the most because I can learn from their experiences.” These conversations will take place in the Campus Center, rooms 113 and 115.
Building your professional brand is important. There will be a talk explaining the importance of branding and networking on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the ETC Auditorium.
