Cake and candles are called to order in celebration of Holy Family University’s (HFU) 72nd birthday!
HFU celebrated with its 3rd annual Ready. Set. Roar. a campaign which was held February 11th-12th. The campaign consisted of a total of 1,954 minutes, reflecting the year HFU was founded.
This campaign was created to allow alumni, family, friends, and members of the community to support HFU and its students. This campaign gives students the opportunity to possibly earn scholarships or fund their athletic endeavors.
Athletic teams and specific schools were able to set up their own fundraising sites in order to gain traction for their specific organization. In 2025, only the second year of this event, the university raised $83,532. The money was divided between different scholarship opportunities, academics, athletics, and an organization called “Tigers Take Care Emergency Fund,” which helps provide resources and basic needs for students who have been faced with emergency situations that may alter a student’s academic success.
HFU is immensely grateful for the community and its contributions to help pave the way for its students.
The campaign officially ended on February 13th, but donations can still be collected on Holy Family University’s website!
In total, there were over 300 donors who participated in this year’s campaign, collecting $87,206 and still counting, surpassing their original goal of $75,000.
At the end of the campaign, 104 donors were able to help HFU raise $26,205 for scholarship opportunities. With that, 136 impactful donors were able to contribute over $16,000 to athletics.
This year, HFU created a $30,000 Matching Gift Challenge. This was a new addition to the campaign to provide even more support to their students. In order to complete the challenge, $30,000 needed to be raised. Once the money was raised, a $30,000 matching gift was presented by an alumnus. The challenge was completed, and the amount was matched!
While most of the donations were made in Pennsylvania, there were donors from California, Arizona, New Mexico, and many more! The impact of this university and its supporters stretches across the country!
As another successful Ready. Set. Roar. the campaign has come to a close, HFU is geared up for the rest of the school year and the achievements that will follow. Courtesy of all of the donors who impacted this university, Holy Family has been given the opportunity and materials to be successful for many years to come!
