If you and your friends need a break from the food in the dining hall, then I strongly recommend getting some brunch at the Hampton House Waffles and Eatery. Whether it’s a big stack of fluffy pancakes or a cheesy cheesesteak, they got you.
Hampton House Waffles and Eatery is about twenty minutes away from campus, located on 70 E Street Rd, Feasterville, PA 19053.
As someone who is always looking for a new spot to dine at, this was definitely a perfect one. On Thursday, February 12th, my mom and I pulled up to the restaurant. It looked tiny, yet walking in it was quite spacious and filled with lots of booths, which is something I always cave into. The restaurant itself was super clean, while the staff was also very welcoming, letting us know to sit where we would like.
My mom and I were given our menus, and let me tell you, there are just so many options: omelets, benedicts, hot cakes, burgers, chicken and waffles, and so much more. I was so overwhelmed, I wished I could’ve stayed and tried everything. However, I was really craving some French toast, and naturally, I always want a side of meat, so within minutes of me sitting down, my French toast and a side of pork roll were already being made!

While I was waiting, I was so fascinated by the open kitchen type feel, as well as a bakery box for any baked goods made that day. Another thing I loved so much was the glasses the drinks came in, they came in these spectacular, almost in a mason jar, if you will. Though I haven’t eaten just yet, the glassware really sold me already.
Shortly after my sightseeing. Our food came: the French toast arrived with powdered sugar and a side of butter, and another plate with some pork roll. For the French toast, they gave me three full slices (which is perfect). Each one was battered to perfection and quite crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside. The French toast had such a good taste that I didn’t even need much syrup; it was good on its own! Aside from that, my 2 pork roll slices were just as good.
The cooks did not come to play! I mean, first of all, at some places I feel like the pork roll I get is always thin, but this was worth the money and thick to your liking. The taste was something I will never forget and definitely one of the best sides of pork roll I ever had!
In addition, my mom had gotten a spectacular hot egg and cheese sandwich, which was perfect for her liking with a side of hash brown; paired with ketchup on top!
My dining experience, as well as the service here, was predominantly a 10/10. The staff was generous, the restaurant was clean, the food was correct, timely, and tasty, and our bellies were full but surely satisfied. So if you are ever in the Bensalem or Feasterville- Trevose area, do not be afraid to stop by because it’ll be worth your while.
