Dorm Life: S’more Love!

By Jennea Coleman-Cubero and Meggie Farber

Valentine’s Day is a yearly tradition of showing love to those closest to you. There are various methods to do so: cards, boxes of chocolates, as well as the classical candy hearts. Speaking of sugary treats, there is also everyone’s favorite campfire treat, s’mores.

At Holy Family University’s Stevenson’s Hall, a small, but fun, party called, “Spread S’more Love!” took place on February 8. There, the guests made delicious s’mores and cards for the people they hold dear. Hosting this event was Emily Griffis and Bernadette Hughes, Resident Advisors in the building.

In her third year of studying nursing, Griffis still shows people a great time.

“I’m enjoying it a lot,” she said. “I kind of like just getting to see everybody come out and have fun. Try to just come and enjoy yourself.”

Hughes, a sophomore studying Health Promotion and Wellness, liked the fact that Griffis “has cards for everybody to write to their siblings.”

“I think that’s really cool. Also, I got some goody bags and stuff to take home for people. So that’s really nice.”
