Spring has sprung, and with that, Dunkin’ Donuts has released new and exciting flavors and drinks for us to enjoy this spring season.
As college students, many of us may have developed a slight coffee addiction and have a “go to” coffee flavor at Dunkin such as mocha, French vanilla, or caramel. However, new flavors can be extremely tempting for coffee drinkers to try. In the past, Dunkin’ has offered flavors such as Sugar Cookie and Cookie Dough as limited time offers. Flavors like these have become popular, and it’s hard to predict what or when something new will arrive.
As for this spring, Dunkin Donuts has come out with a new Peeps-Flavored Coffee because of the Easter season as well. I find the various colors of marshmallow Peeps disgusting and always dreaded receiving them in my Easter basket as a child.
Although I was hesitant, I decided to give the flavor a try like I do with every new flavor Dunkin’ releases. I ordered a small peeps flavored coffee with cream and no sugar because I figured the marshmallow flavor would be too overpowering with sugar in it as well.
And boy, was I right.
The coffee was way better than I expected, and it barely tasted like Peeps at all. It did leave a marshmallow aftertaste, but I actually enjoyed it.
Overall, I would give the Peeps-Flavored Coffee a 8/10 because although it was better than I expected, I believe that some of their other seasonal flavors are better, and I hope to see them offered again and more often. Either way, I recommend giving it a try before the offer ends.
Because not everybody is a coffee person, I decided to sample another limited time offer from Dunkin’ Donuts which is the Lemonade Iced Tea.
When I saw this as an offer, I was immediately excited because I love half lemonade and half iced tea. I wanted to see how Dunkin’s did theirs. I definitely wasn’t disappointed. The lemonade iced tea was great, and it almost makes me wonder why something like this isn’t a menu item all the time. Not everyone likes iced tea with just lemon in it, and a lemonade iced tea option definitely appeals to more customers.
After trying the Lemonade Iced Tea, I would give it a 10/10 score because I’m such a lemonade and iced-tea fan. I think Dunkin’ should strongly consider adding this to its menu because it has become so popular. However, that seems unlikely, so if you love lemonade iced tea I would definitely take a trip to Dunkin’ because as of now it’s only offered for a limited time.
