Holy Family University hosted its long-standing Christmas Rose tradition on Friday, December 4, 2020. Students, Faculty, Staff, Parents, and Alumni of all ages joined in on the fun. A variety show and a mass presided by Reverend James MacNew, made up the programming for the evening. It was a very entertaining night. You know how important the event is when many of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth were able to navigate Zoom.
The Student Government Association hosted the event via Zoom this year due to restrictions from the City of Philadelphia which severely limited the amount of people that could gather indoors. On a positive note, this change allowed people to attend from all over the United States. No matter the circumstance, The Christmas Rose prevailed albeit virtually!
This ritual has occurred annually for over fifty years now. It typically takes place on the first Friday of December, just before semester exams.
Stay tuned for next year’s Christmas Rose as it will not disappoint!
